I’m thrilled with the latest featured artist on Jitterbug – The Jimmies. They are based out of New York and their recordings have smart lyrics and a great energy to them. Visit them on Jitterbug here, or check-out their fantastic world here. Enjoy the Spanimals!
Dan
It feels great to finally have Jitterbug live for people to use! The idea has been percolating for a while – and actually implementing all our desires is an ongoing process for sure. We are busy talking to artists and their managers – telling them about Jitterbug and signing them up as members. The deeper we dig, the more great music we find; what a pleasure!
As we spread the word about jitterbug, we keep hearing, “what a good idea” (by those that have kids!). That is super encouraging in the midst of the other part of the agenda: discovering little problems (that web designers understand) and fixing them.
Tell us about your experience with music for young kids. We want to grow in the direction that YOU, Jitterbug users, find useful. Send us your comments, we’re listening!
Finally, to the music – Here is my favorite version, to date, of the classic Hush Little Baby.
enjoy,
Dan

What do a couple of middle age dads (sorry Dan) know about music for children? My answer is “only what my daughter shows me.” Although my daughter is only 2 1/2, she knows exactly what she likes and the really odd thing is we agree on most.
And the music that she jumps up and starts dancing to is not limited to so called “children’s artists” that you find on Jitterbug, but extends to a classic Beatles song or another tune that was conceived before her mother and father were. So what I’m trying to say is that I’m not trying to mix my own batch of “koolaid” that says “kids music should be…”, but expose some truly great artists that we have heard and like and find others in the far reaches of the world that are surprising and hopefully refreshing.
And when I mention “from the far reaches of the world,” hopefully we can make good on that promise as we’re interested in finding that “Justin Roberts of Sweden” or you fill in the country and/or city. So if you’re reading this in Bangladesh and you think someone local would fit in to Jitterbug, please take the time to click on the blue “suggest music/artist” button.
And we would love to hear from you.
Cheers,
Randall
