Happy Mother’s Day!

Dear Mothers,
What condition is your soul in? Today, Mother’s Day is the day to look, check, caress and feed that soul. From a father, there is no mightier day than Mother’s Day because of the chance to pause, admire, serve and applaud. Yes, applaud; when love walks in the room, we should always applaud – but today, Mother’s Day, the applause is haunted with memories of children (as a father) and remembrances of childhood (as a son). Haunted, not as in frightened, but as in every nerve bowing in appreciation to a job well done by “Mom”.

And how can we breathe a thought about Mother’s Day without thinking about the kids, those little beings that Moms teach the world to love. As Shakespeare reminds,
“Look on beauty,
And you shall see ‘tis purchased by the weight;
Which therein works a miracle in nature,
Making them lightest that wear most of it.”

Yes, all those beautiful kids that Moms impact so profoundly, so quickly, so early – they grow, they learn, they become – ultimately themselves.

Mothers, today, on your Day, whatever condition your soul is in – “sit, feast on your life” and allow us to join you in your moment of grace.

Dennis Caraher wins gold medal

Jitterbug wants to congratulate Dennis Caraher on winning a Parents’ Choice gold medal award for his album I Miss The Mud.  As Lynne Heffley writes, ” Dennis Caraher delivers smiles with quirky humor and sunny charisma…..”  That’s enough of a blessing to get me to listen…  We are happy to have Dennis involved and represented on Jitterbug.

The Parents’ Choice Foundation is a nonprofit guide to quality children’s media and toys established in 1978.  A well respected voice on everything kids – so well-done Dennis on winning the Gold!

Jitterbug enhancements

Greetings – we have made a few technical changes to Jitterbug that we hope will make the experience of finding and listening to music and videos even better.  The main one is you can now sort the entire site by only Video, only Music or both.  The filtering is just below the logo: Show: All | Videos | Music

We’ve also moved the red Jitterbug Radio button to a prominent position – top right.  Last but not least, the Blog link has moved down to the footer – we’re still confident you’ll still find it!  When you are watching a video, the “What’s Related” offerings on the right side has been enhanced to give better results too.  Hope you like the changes – more to come.
